Who can join Sage as a contributor?

To join Sage as a contributing organization you must be a Canadian organization that works with or for people living with or affected by HIV or hepatitis C, or in a related field that produces information resources you will add to the Sage collection. Your organization will need a representative to apply for and oversee its Sage membership.

If you are a Canadian individual who works with or for people living with or affected by HIV or hepatitis C, or in a related field through an affiliation with a Canadian organization who produces your own information resources that you will to add to the Sage collection, you may also qualify to join Sage as a contributing individual. The resources you will be adding to the collection should be resources you created and hold copyright for.

 

What are a contributor’s responsibilities?

As a contributor you’ll be expected to:

  1. Add resources you’ve created to the Sage collection and keep resource records up-to-date.
  2. Respect Sage’s values statement, policies and procedures and terms of use.
  3. Keep your contributor/member profile up to date.
  4. Safeguard your account password to prevent unauthorized use of your account and change your password once a year to improve account security.
  5. Report resources that conflict with Sage’s values statement or policies and procedures to the attention of the Sage administrators.
  6. Respond to changes in procedures or standards that may be introduced by the Sage administrators.
  7. Respond to questions and requests from Sage users about your resources.
  8. Manage the affiliated memberships of people at your organization (applies to organizations only).

Members who don’t meet their member responsibilities may have their accounts closed.

 

How do I become a contributor?

Apply to become a contributor by submitting a membership application.

Your membership application must be reviewed and approved by the Sage administrators to ensure you meet the contributor criteria before you can access members-only content.
