Dental Care 101: What You Need to Know

Oral health is an integral part of overall health and is often a predictor of HIV-related health events. 90% of people living with HIV experience at minimum one oral condition in their lifetime. Despite the fact that all dental procedures and devices should be safety and effectively provided regardless of immune status, access to dental care services is often limited for many people living with HIV in Canada due to financial barriers and fear of discrimination and stigma.

No More Silos: A good practices guide on undertaking an integrated approach to HIV and hepatitis C

No More Silos: A Good Practices Guide on undertaking an integrated approach to HIV and hepatitis C identifies practices that community-based organizations (CBOs), community health centres (CHCs), clinics and other health and social services are engaging to do HIV and hepatitis C work concurrently. The goal of No More Silos is to assist organizations considering undertaking an integrated approach to HIV and hepatitis C for the first time as they identify ways in which an integrated approach may be relevant to them.
