Peer Support Training Program Evaluation

PWN developed a formal Peer Support Training Program in 2010 to train members on how to provide peer support to other positive women. The overall goal of the training program is to contribute to a province-wide peer support network to help women living with HIV receive optimum care and support.

Member Engagement Survey Results

In 2013, Positive Women's Network conducted a survey of members to hear how women connected and engaged with programs and services. PWN member Monique Desroches was hired to conduct and report on the Member Engagement Survey, which was written by HIV+ women and PWN staff.

Training Workers Outside of the HIV World on Women and HIV (2012)

PWN members have consistently reported experiencing HIV-related discrimination from service providers not directly involved in the HIV field. Since 2006, PWN has delivered free HIV trainings throughout BC, targeting service providers who work with women living with HIV. The PWN resources in Sage can be reproduced and adapted for non-commercial use with credit to the author.
